The Committee considered the bill to amend the Law “On Game Husbandry and Hunting (re fulfillment of the international Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds) (Reg. No. 2017). The bill aims at securing requirements of the international Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds, ratified by the law of 04.07.2002. To satisfy the Agreement, it is suggested supplement article 20 of the Law “On Game Husbandry and Hunting” with a prescription prohibiting hunting with the use of lead cake on wetlands of international significance.
Committee members supported the draft law “On amendments to the Law “On Game Husbandry and Hunting (re refining measures of combating lyssa and rational use of game animals)” (Reg. No. 2018). The bill aims at improving legal settling of relations in the sphere of game husbandry and hunting.
It was stressed that the bills are supported by public environmental organizations.
